Shepherd's Center of Raytown

 The Shepherd's Center of Raytown is a private, non-profit, interfaith, non-discriminatory organization whose purpose is to utilize the gifts of individuals in our community to promote continued personal and spiritual growth and help maintain the dignity and independence of all persons, focusing on adults 55 and older.

1. What We Do

The Shepherd's Center of Raytown provides services for those older adults, 55 and older who live within the Raytown School District.  These services include:  Meals On Wheels, Wheels That Care, Handyman Repair, Respite Care and Telephone Reassurance.  Our programs are open to anyone and they include:  Adventures In Learning, Exercise Class, Breaktime, Tai Chi Chih, Bridge & Card Group, and Stroke Support Group .

 Book Sale

         Shepherds Center of Raytown is holding our annual used book sale September 24th & 25th at Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church located at 6429 Blue Ridge Blvd Raytown, MO

           If you have books you would like to donate, bring them to Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church, beginning the week of Sept 13th.   There will be donation boxes at local places of businesses and churches.    If there are any questions, call the SCR office at 816-356-9000.

2010 Garden Tour

      The Garden Tour on June 15, 2010 indcluded six diverse and lovely
gardens.   There was an enjoyable luncheon  with many plants given to the
attendees.

  Donation Information

We are desperately in need of Volunteers--to deliver a hot noon meal (Meals on Wheels), take someone to a medical appointment (Wheels that Care), or work in the Shepherd's Center Office.   Please call 816-356-9000 to learn about all the fun you can have while helping others.
